This project was developed for two reasons.
Partly to dilute the "dirty water" by creating high quality apparel with soul and partly out of distaste for the way people treat clothing in general. Personally, I wear my clothes, but I see a lot of people whose clothes are wearing them. Chasing trends, trying to seem "cool", or falling victim to less-than-clever marketing, money is spent for no good reason.

An internal, mental change can be complemented by an external, physical one. New clothing is a perfect example. If you consider a purchase to be a motivational or inspirational investment, then a new hoodie or pair of shoes can help your brain ease into that new mindset you desire.

BETTERSALT is meant to remind you that you have much more control over your experience than you realize and you are more than capable of appreciating anything (good/bad) if you're mindful. Perspective is infinitely valuable. We have all had horrible days, but they make the amazing ones possible. You're the one who will make it better, we're just here to make it a bit easier :)

Kind of a weird name, I know.
The name has real applicable meaning to me, but I'd like to leave it open to interpretation.

I am trying to assign a name to an idea.
I needed something abstract that makes sense in some way without restricting the vision to just 'clothes'. I wanted a name that could adopt value and become recognizable.

No joke, part of the reason I chose the name is that nothing relevant showed up on Google when I searched "bettersalt".

I'm Tony
I have pretty much no online presence as of writing this (8/26/23) because I haven't found a way to participate without losing myself and feeling kinda fake. Eventually I hope to reach people who can relate to and benefit from anything provided through BETTERSALT. I understand if you won't trust me until I have some sort of social credibility.

All of the store profits go directly back into the business to add to our product list. We have a ton of ideas, but we have to work our way up to it. None of this exists without YOU.
